The Bow and Aspects of Healing
We use the act of bowing in TCA to help facilitate the movement of energy through the levels of human consciousness (mental, emotional and spiritual) and the three aspects of healing (acknowledging, accepting and agreeing).
Eye contact corresponds to the mental level and the first aspect of healing—we acknowledge the other. The act of lowering our eyes and bowing our head draws us into the emotional level of consciousness and the second aspect of healing; we accept the other and what has transpired between us. Returning to eye contact completes the cycle and helps facilitate spiritual awareness. We agree to all that was and is in relation to the other and the power of our soul connection. Insight, understanding, and healing occurs. The Veil of Illusion lifts for a moment and some of our Soul agreements are revealed. The Act of Bowing is a movement that expands our awareness of the Soul.
Direct Experience of the Bow and the three aspects of healing
Place a picture of your mother, father, sibling, or cherished loved one in front of you. Call the person’s full name, and state your relationship three times (example: Joy Weldon Faust; my mother). Pause in between, allowing the energy of this factual statement to draw you deeper into the relationship with each repetition. Look into the eyes of the person’s picture. Say aloud, “I acknowledge you as (ex: my mother).” Pause and allow whatever thoughts you have to arise. Then lower your eyes and bow your head by bringing your chin to your chest. From this position, say aloud. “I accept you as (ex: my mother) and all that has come with our relationship.” Pausing with your head bowed, open to the emotional level of connection. Then, lift your gaze to make eye contact again. After a few moments, simply say, “I agree (ex: mother).” Allow new insights and awareness to arise from the level of your Soul.
