The Process of Healing
Healing is a two-stage process that involves the past and the future. We begin by openly acknowledging our desire for change. Then, we actively work to shift our consciousness to create the change. In the first stage of healing, our perspective on our past changes. By amending our remembrance of the past, we create the possibility of a different future. In The Constellation Approach we call this process “easing Soul Drag.” These are situations and relationships from the past that weigh on our hearts and create a ‘drag’ or hindrance on our Soul Nature. They prevent us from living fully, moving completely toward what lies ahead.
The second stage of healing puts into practice the changes in consciousness that occurred during TCA through thought, feeling, and action. Actions solidify the progression of our healing. Without them, we risk the possibility of drifting back into unconscious behavior and feeling resentment, blame, anger, or jealousy. It is up to each of us to keep alive the awareness that occurred during our Constellation. Bert Hellinger would often say at the end of a Constellation, “Now we leave it up to their Soul.”
A Constellation is opening a window that allows the energies of reconciliation, peace, and love to flow into our lives. This enlightened love extends from our Ancestral Lineage to each of us. It is ever-present, waiting for us to maintain and continue strengthening our connection with it through conscious practice.
